  • Great! But can be greater!

I practically stumbled upon this fantastic Podcast! Awesome! The part on ‘How to become a Barrister’ happens to be my favorite. However, I think the narrative is skewed towards individuals who schooled in the UK. There’s a Bar Transfer Scheme for foreign qualified lawyers which dispenses with the need for the BPTC.

    Thanks

Q: At the start of a legal career, how can aspiring lawyers practice balance between study and personal life?
Boundaries matter from day one: protect time for exercise, social activities, and relationships; view sustainable, healthy work as the path to long‑term success rather than sacrificing life for constant overwork.
Episode 44: celebrating 200 years of the Law Society with Helen Cammock
Q: Can you tell me a bit more about why you were keen to focus on lawyers at an early stage?
The focus on lawyers came from a desire to acknowledge the people who work within the system and to use the artwork as a dialogue with the profession, highlighting the need for future generations to engage with equity, justice, and fairness while learning from the past.
