This is a good show but I would change one thing ... It gets grating and difficult to listen to when there are 3 or more ladies and they all talk over each other. You can’t hear what they are saying so it is to their detriment because we don’t hear the points they are making, just a bunch of chattering. I am interested in what they have to say, so I wish they would give each other space to finish speaking before jumping in over each other.
I found the Lady Killers through the Losers’ Club pod, of which I have been an enthusiastic member for several years now. Ever since my first Lady K episode (Fargo), I was instantly hooked! Jen, Sammie, Mae & Rocco have great banter and always bring new, refreshing perspectives to the films I’ve always loved. It’s been such a blast revisiting these movies for the first time as an adult woman and I truly find myself gaining copious amounts of insight from this group on various topics and themes a... more
Love the dynamics and discussions of the back catalogue, covers a great range of mainstream and deep cut movies; but catching a few recent eps it seems the presenter line up has changed, and the new 4 talk over each other in a way that’s confusing and hard to follow (maybe it’s a change in editor too?)
Apple appears to have deleted my previous review…but that’s okay, the Lady Killers have evolved. I think the term “Lady Killers” is a bit of an oversimplification for what this podcast offers. Sure it centers on a cinematic female-identifying killer every week, but the typically two-hour show offers a lot more nuance for those who care to listen and aren’t afraid to confront some of the darker veins running through our society. The three hosts and occasional guest star leverage their seemingly u... more

A feminist horror podcast that centers female-identifying killers and the broader world of cinema through thoughtful, often humorous analysis. The hosts—Jenn Adams, Sammie Roffman, Rachel Reeves, and Shelby Novak—guide deep dives into films featuring women killers, exploring themes like gender dynamics, motherhood, empowerment, and sociopolitical context, while keeping room for personal stories and pop culture banter. Episodes typically run long, mix scholarly takes with accessible discussion, and frequently culminate in a verdict on whether a character represents “Good For Her” horror. A standout comes from the show's cohesive chemistry, clear stance on women-led narratives, and a willingness to challenge conventional horror tropes, making... more
