  • For people that LOVE Horror Movies

This is a podcast that really rewards being a horror fan. Their Patreon is worth paying for too. Recently became a fan after watching Mothman Prophecies and wanting a good podcast to make that experience feel worth it, and fell in love with the way these two (and their occasional guests) talk about horror movies! They also cover under discussed movies like Nocturnal Animals, Curse of Chucky, or Rob Zombie’s Halloween. Even when they dislike a movie that I like, they’re still a great listen. Woul... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Poseidon Adventure (1972) feat. Stacie Ponder
Q: Why did you pick The Poseidon Adventure for this episode?
Stacie explains her longtime fascination with 70s disaster films and her love for the way Poseidon blends large-scale spectacle with intimate character moments, making it ripe for queer readings and cultural analysis.
The Wicker Man (1973) feat. Sean Abley
Q: Sean, you selected The Wicker Man to be in the batch of episodes you sent to us, but you hadn't seen it before, correct?
Yeah. Thank you for forcing me to watch it; I had never seen it and it became a revelation I immediately wanted to share with others.
Interview: Bryan Fuller on Dust Bunny
Q: Can you give us an idea about what some of the concerns were with making the film for Apple TV?
It was their first television show, and I think there were assumptions about the guy who just did Hannibal, telling a story that was supposed to appeal to families.
Interview: Bryan Fuller on Dust Bunny
Q: So we're curious why you wanted to make Dust Bunny, which is more of a gateway horror film?
I think it goes back to those Pushing Daisies instincts... It didn't feel like it was a departure from anything that I had done, but more kind of like a return to Pushing Daisies style shows.
Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975) feat. Zoë Rose Smith
Q: Why did you agree to come and talk about this film?
Honestly, I was so excited when you asked me if I was going to be Salò. I was like, yes, I was like, that is so my brand, which is clearly shit eating.
