  • Needs a personnel change

Jake constantly interrupts his partner with BS rational and Spike is too weak to fight back yet he generally has the more reasoned thoughts.

The weakest show on this station. Jake is completely light headed on anything of substance or history and importance and only repeats his shallow gripes. Spike O’Neill is a saint to put up with him as a partner and tolerate his passive aggressive disrespect.

This station used to have intellectually honest, interesting talent regardless of political angle. Jake however is not one of them. Thus, his reliance on others like the Washington Policy Center, Jason Rantz, and Future42 backed grifter Bra... more

Updating to point out that Jake blatantly misrepresents stories and doesn’t do his homework. He brought up a “Harvard doctor” that supposedly showed Tylenol was bad, ignoring that the character and reputation of that individual was called into questio... more

Spike O’Neill is a saint to put up with him as a partner but is much better with other hosts. KIRO seems determined to force this Skorheim dude on the listeners but his goofy pseudo moderate frat boy act is useless and the audience deserves better. He neither lives in nor cares about Seattle.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 3: Geezer Tennis
Q: What has been the response from law enforcement to the studio break-ins?
Officials cited stretched resources and prioritization, with detectives limited and property theft receiving low priority, which explains delays and the need for citizen-driven sting investigations.
Hour 3: Bridging Two Worlds
Q: What was it originally that brought you to the United States?
MB explains he came on a visa to study, paid his way through school, and hoped to become a fighter pilot, but the 1979 hostage crisis disrupted his plans and led to a label of terrorism.
Hour 2: Misfeasance or Malfeasance?
Q: Eric, what happened down in Mexico Way? Tell our audience the sequence of events.
Eric describes preparing for a half-hour recreational swim, being attacked by a 12-foot crocodile that grabbed his arm, fighting back with punches and kicks, and eventually breaking free, then finally being helped ashore by bystanders and receiving emergency care.
Hour 1: High On Your Own Supply
Q: What is the likelihood the court will overturn the jury's verdict in the Chop case on retrial?
Attorney Chris Davis explains that retrial success is unlikely; courts typically require clear errors or prejudicial issues to grant a new trial, and the judge in this case is regarded as reasonable, making the motion to retrial a long shot.
Hour 1: High On Your Own Supply
Q: What is the core economic impact of the new income tax on Washington residents and businesses?
Luke Duecy outlines that the tax is intended to raise roughly $3.5 billion annually to fund services like health care and education, but economists and business leaders warn about potential negative effects such as business relocation and higher living costs; the final allocation includes substantial portions for tax relief rather than exclusively new programs.
