  • Pretty good show

Liberal standing biased opinion program. Ursula comes off as the mother that lives next-door. G comes off as your bud that plays victim a little too much. Then they have their narcissistic producer “Chef” that loves to bully his opinions, and he’ll even talk down to you in the text line if he doesn’t like what you say.

The show brings a good group of diversity and audience, which is nice and overall it’s good hearted in nature, which is what’s most appealing and why I keep listening.

  • Very Insightful

I am always happy when running errands with Gee and Ursula playing on KIRO. They offer diverse points of view and cover a large variety of topics that most of us have an opinion on. It makes the errand running more entertaining and the time go by faster.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 3: Is There a Plan for the Conflict in Iran?
Q: Thank you for joining us. Joe Kent says Iran posed no imminent threat. In your view, is that a credible assessment?
The general argues that while Iran may have been negotiating and under economic pressure, a comprehensive assessment of threat depends on the broader strategic picture and whether allowing a nuclear-armed Iran becomes a core objective for U.S. policy; he suggests the danger is real and evolving, with multiple potential triggers and indicators to watch beyond one momentary assessment.
Hour 2: A Moratorium on Detention Centers?
Q: Is this moratorium about the proposed ICE Detention Facility or would you be proposing this pause even if immigration wasn't part of the conversation?
The response frames the moratorium broadly to include ICE-related facilities and other involuntary detention facilities, suggesting the pause is about managing all such facilities with careful community input.
Hour 2: A Moratorium on Detention Centers?
Q: Walk us through why you believe that this moratorium is necessary right now.
The executive explains the concentration of involuntary detention facilities in the county, their impact on taxes, first responders, and public services, and the need for a pause to allow comprehensive community input before finalizing site decisions.
Hour 1: The Millionaire Tax Passes the House
Q: What first raised your concern about Sheriff Swank?
Kristen Gledhill explains that her investigations began with campaign-era disclosures and public records requests that revealed troubling behavior and connections, prompting further scrutiny and ongoing requests for information.
Hour 1: We Need to Protect Our Most Vulnerable
Q: What are the main concerns about how the school district handled the safeguarding allegations?
The conversation points to a pattern where concerns were raised by multiple staff and students but the remedy was inadequate, including keeping a student in the room with the staff member and relying on another child to supervise, which critics say undermines safety and accountability.
