  • An institution, an inspiration

I’ve been listening to this show since I was 13, now I’m 30. Living out of state now, I’m really grateful for this steady connection with my Seattle roots. Brock and Salk are great compliments to each other, and it’s actually inspiring how they overcame their differences - something we need more of in this world! Sometimes I miss the younger Salk’s passion for storytelling. Maybe the fact that our teams are better now means the stories tell themselves — or maybe he’s just gotten grumpier with ag... more

  • Great, personable Seattle sports news.

Writing a review because Salk said to do it. I’m not a huge sports person, but Brock and Salk make it easy to listen to, learn about and talk about what’s going on in Seattle sports, especially the Mariners. Absolutely a podcast worth your time if you can’t pick it up live from 6am to 10am weekdays… even without Lyle.

  • Pity Review from Kettle Falls, WA

I was shocked to learn Brock and Salk hadn’t received a review in over a month. Not because I doubted them, but because Salk reminds us to leave one approximately every 14 minutes.

    So here it is.

Brock provides actual football expertise. Salk provides enough opinions for three radio hosts. Together they make Seattle sports talk entertaining even when our teams are actively testing our emotional stability.

Five stars. Please don’t let this pity review create unrealistic expectations that anoth... more

  • Adios Lyle!

Farewell Lyle! It’s been a pleasure enjoying your sarcasm and great baseball takes this past year i’ve been listening! Also, Salk you rock, but with the Sonics return being imminent your “I don’t care about the NBA and don’t care to learn” takes will have to change! Rock on guys

Brock's Draft Profile, and M's Insider Shannon Drayer
Q: Shannon, is there a better greeter in the history of sports radio, on the phone than Maura Dooley?

Hour 3 - Is Edge Rusher The Seahawks Biggest Remaining Hole, Seth Wickersham
Q: Could Seattle's stadium play a role in attracting the next owner?
Yes, a potential new owner could look at stadium upgrades or leveraging NFL revenue streams as part of a larger attractiveness package, but any major move would require alignment with league and local stakeholders.
Hour 3 - Is Edge Rusher The Seahawks Biggest Remaining Hole, Seth Wickersham
Q: What did you find most surprising about the market for the Seahawks sale?
The market has softened more than some expected, driven by the extreme costs of ownership and the complexities of stadium economics, which narrows the pool of qualified buyers.
Hour 2 - Cal Raleigh's Struggles, Most Concerning Mariners Trends, Blue 88
Q: What do you think about the six-man rotation idea?
They debate the potential benefits for rest and the bullpen strain, but remain skeptical about whether it actually helps the starters or the bullpen in a 13-game stretch.
Hour 3 - Buy Or Sell, Harold Reynolds
Q: What is causing Cal Raleigh's slump according to Harold Reynolds?
Timing is off for Raleigh, likely due to his unusual switch-hitting arrangement and a lack of normal spring training at-bats, and the fix involves reviewing tape with trusted coaches to reestablish proper timing.
