  • Far and away the best sports radio show in Seattle

This 3-star review is the average of 5 separate facets that I have evaluated independently for the benefit of helping you reflect upon the show and what you are choosing to put into the world:

5 stars: Maura. Her production, analysis, and singing talents make her one-of-a-kind and deserving of a raise.

4 stars: The hosts. You take a lot of shots from the text toy but you are far and away the most talented and entertaining sports radio hosts in Seattle, and whatever unincorporated hamlet Brock ... more

  • Why is it Called Brock and Salk Again?

Let me start by saying that Salk is the perfect host for Seattle Sports. That is, if you like East Coast, faux erudite, nasally, asomewhat whiny affect, and a host that sounds like an 8th grade girl who had her Hello Kitty Purse stolen when he gets a little verklempt. He also sounds really macho and cool when he unnecessarily abbreviates words like velocity (veeelo) and comparison. “That’s a far comp, Brock” could be a drinking game phrase.

He does have a couple of redeeming qualities, ho... more

  • Get to 4.7 tip

I’m a long time listener from the UK and love all the guests and bits. Just a little tip, and I know you are not gonna like it, but maybe a segment each week about soccer would tip you over the top. I mean it is the biggest sport on the planet. Keep up the good work

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 1: Have the Sleeping Mariners Woken Up?
Q: What sparked the current mood around the Mariners' play, and can a moment of intensity wake them up?
The hosts suggest that while fights and fiery exchanges can energize a team, consistency and execution are what sustain momentum; they're watching for a sustained push rather than one-off incidents.
Hour 3: Jason Benetti Gives a National Perspective on the Mariners Struggles
Q: What did Jason Benetti think about the Mariners' post-deadline outlook?
He suggested that while the team has talent, the injuries and slugging gaps—especially in the middle of the lineup—make it hard to sustain success, but the door is still open for a late-season push if they can fix approach and power output.
Hour 2: Seahawks Rookie Jadarian Price talks about Adjusting to the NFL
Q: What was that conversation with mom like during training camp?
Price explains his mom's excitement and how staying connected with family provides emotional support, emphasizing the importance of hearing loved ones' voices during a hectic period.
Hour 3: Brady Henderson gives an update from Seahawks Training Camp
Q: Brady, how do you see the Seahawks handling their offensive coaching changes with Clint Kubiak and Brian Flurry, and what does that mean for their offensive identity this year?
Brady Henderson explains there are still question marks but stresses that the team will need to see how the new play-caller combinations perform in real games; he remains cautiously optimistic about Bradford and the rest of the O-line, noting the importance of how the play-calling logic evolves with a new coordinator in the loop.
Hour 4: Looking Back on Seahawks vs. Texans and Answer The Question Jerk
Q: Which city would you relocate to if you could move and why?
They discuss personal preferences and lifestyle factors, using it as a playful break to highlight how environment can influence teamwork and culture, not a serious business decision.
