  • Yuck

I used to listen religiously for few years but kjr is gone off deep end. Low level guests, constant yelling low level guests. Soccer talk, same ole debates and running out Hugh Millen who can’t form a sentence and who rambles on about nothing. Team 710 Brock and Salk!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Softy and Dick 8-27 Hour 1: Las Vegas, Rick Neuheisel, Fun w/ Audio
Q: What are your thoughts on the Apple Cup being played in week one and on NBC this year?
Nuheishel expresses cautious optimism, noting how the game being moved to week one in a national window could heighten excitement and shape early-season perceptions of Washington versus Washington State, while acknowledging the unique challenges of the open Sunday slot.
Softy and Dick 8-27 Hour 2: Bret Boone, NFL Spending, Top Coaches
Q: Is the schedule a real factor in their playoff chances, or can they control their fate regardless of opponents?
The hosts and Boone agreed that while strength of schedule matters, the Mariners' own consistency and winning streaks, plus how well their core hitters perform, will determine their odds more than the exact opponents they face.
Softy and Dick 8-27 Hour 2: Bret Boone, NFL Spending, Top Coaches
Q: Bret, how do you think the Mariners handle the lineup going into the stretch run?
Boone suggested that behind-the-scenes decisions and day-to-day health determine who plays, and stressed the importance of not overreacting to one-off lineups while focusing on balancing offense and defense over a long series run.
Softy & Dick 8-13 Hour 3: Jerry Brewer, Fun w/ Audio, Arnold Signed
Q: What's your read on the Arnold situation and the risk the Seahawks are taking?
The consensus is that it's a calculated risk; if Arnold clears legally and medically, he could be a top-tier addition that strengthens the defense, especially in a lean salary environment, and fits into Seattle's championship-minded window.
Softy and Dick 8-17 Hour 2: Yogi Roth on UW, Hawks’ 1st Game
Q: What are the top three questions for UW on offense and how they might fare on the road in the Big Ten?
The left side of the UW offensive line against grown men in the Big Ten; whether UW receivers can win man coverage on the road, particularly against high-level corners; and whether Demond Williams can translate his playmaking and quarterbacking from the pocket to big-stage games, especially away from home.
