  • Yuck

I used to listen religiously for few years but kjr is gone off deep end. Low level guests, constant yelling low level guests. Soccer talk, same ole debates and running out Hugh Millen who can’t form a sentence and who rambles on about nothing. Team 710 Brock and Salk!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Softy & Dick 3-9 Hour 4: Seahawks Fans’ Talk-Backs, Mike DeCourcy
Q: What say you about this year's NCAA tournament bubble, Mike?
DeCourcy emphasizes that the bubble is unusually weak, supports his view with analytics, and notes that several bubble teams are fighting for limited spots, with injuries and late-season results heavily influencing seeding.
Softy and Dick 3-13 Hour 2: Hugh Millen on Millionaires Tax, Impact of losing Riq Woolen
Q: So Hugh, I mean, where do you stand on the competitive nature of this? do you think the millionaire's tax matters for Seattle's ability to attract or retain players?
Hugh argues that while the tax is only one factor, it matters more for players with higher earnings and could influence decisions on where to sign, especially for top athletes who can command premium contracts; the broader point is that tax policy intersects with team-building and compensation strategies.
Softy & Dick 3-12 Hour 3: Marc Ross and Theoretical Deal Debate
Q: What is the perceived value of Sam Darnold for the Seahawks next season?
Marc Ross articulates that Darnold is likely in the upper echelon but not clearly top five, and the decision hinges on risk tolerance and the ability to surround him with supporting talent rather than seeking a guaranteed championship via a risky trade.
Softy & Dick 3-10 Hour 3: Jon Wilner, Rhea Hughes, Danny Sprinkle
Q: What are the key reasons for UW's uneven season performance under Danny Sprinkle?
Sprinkle points to eight season-ending injuries, lack of roster fluidity, and the challenge of building consistent lineups as the main culprits, while emphasizing resilience and learning from the year to improve moving forward.
Softy & Dick 3-11 Hour 1: Mike Florio, USA in WBC, Lane Lambert
Q: Which quarterback starts week one for the Atlanta Falcons, and what factors influenced that decision?
The discussion centers on Tua Tagovailoa as a likely starter for another team, but the Falcons conversation hinges on the new management and Penix Jr.'s ACL recovery; the consensus leans toward evaluating offseason reps and system fit before declaring a Week 1 starter.
