  • Mediocre podcast for a less than mediocre team

Colby acts like he’s too good to be on the show with the way he rolls his eyes and sighs all the time. He seems to know his stuff but he just kinda has an arrogant attitude. Ty is alright but I don’t think Locked On in general is known for being a great show.

Colby and Ty are great. Would be a 5 start review if it were just them. Anders and Chris are phoning it in. They’re so bad I wrote my second ever podcast review. Part time attendance, tech issues, sarcastic and whiny with no useful insights.

  • Post cast is a complete waste of time

This 15 minute podcast is ten minutes of ads and two uninformed yahoos reliving the game. I’ve had better game conversations with my 10 year old grandson.

If you really knew your stuff, add some insight.

Listen to the radio postgame broadcast it is so much better.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Has the Window FINALLY Opened For the Seattle Mariners to Call Up Kade Anderson?! | Mailbag
Q: Should the Mariners make room for Kade Anderson by sending Emerson Hancock or Bryce Miller to the bullpen if Brian Wu is limited by shoulder soreness?
Yes, a six-man rotation or piggyback arrangement would accommodate Anderson while managing innings, with Bryce Miller potentially moving to the bullpen if needed; Wu's shoulder soreness adds urgency to this consideration.
Will the Seattle Mariners Make Coaching and Front Office CHANGES?! | Mailbag Monday
Q: If/when they move on from Dan, will the front office look in the mirror at things they can improve on defensively, bench, bullpen, etc., or just hire a new voice as manager?
The consensus is that a front office shakeup is unlikely, but there's a real possibility Dan Soto's time as manager ends after this season; any replacement would likely come from outside the organization and could influence surrounding staff hires.
REALISTIC Seattle Mariners Trade Targets | Mailbag Monday
Q: What about catchers or depth at catcher—could Parada or Garver fit without disrupting the clubhouse?
Parada could be considered if the upgrade is marginal, but the hosts believe Cal Raleigh should not be benched; Garver is appreciated for clubhouse presence and left-handed hitting, though moving Raleigh would be high risk and probably unnecessary.
REALISTIC Seattle Mariners Trade Targets | Mailbag Monday
Q: Who do you think could realistically be a trade target for the Mariners in two weeks?
Miller is the top realistic bullpen target, with other plausible options including Morahone and Weaver, while bigger name prospects like Abrams or Mead are less likely due to fit and cost. The consensus is that a bullpen-focused addition is the most practical path.
Seattle Mariners Second Half Reasons For Optimism and Pessimism | Mailbag
Q: Are the Mariners the most disappointing team relative to expectations this year?
They're in the mix for top disappointment in the league, with teams like the Blue Jays viewed as more disappointed, but Seattle still sits in the upper tier of underperformers; the discussion frames this as a balanced view of underachievement relative to expectations.
