  • I love Lyle and this pod!!!

Absolutely best Mariners pod out there, the other pods cannot compare. Though easily the best part of the pod is Lyle. He is the smartest, funniest, and most attractive one on the pod. Sorry CP or whatever your name is, you’re just not on Lyle’s level. Their merch is great quality too, I got a hoodie and it’s got me as snug as a bug in a rug. And to the guy who called them cornballs in the other review, come have a conversation with me, I’ll sock you silly. Hope to meet you sometime soon at the ... more

  • Great Pod!

As a new Mariners fan living across the country in Tennessee, I’m dependent upon several outlets to keep up with my new team. I’ve listened to every episode this season, and regardless of how this team ends up, you guys do an amazing job covering the M’s. Keep up the great work!

  • Ads Kill It

I sincerely love the show, the guys are extremely knowledgeable but still fans like us listeners…but a 38 minute episode turning into 47 minutes with ads PLUS your own ad reads that are already factored into the original 38? C’mon…

  • Nothing to write home about

The analysis is incoherent and inconsistent and these two can be as frustrating as the Mariners.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Episode 449: The Eugenio Suarez Discussion Highlights A Bigger Problem With The Mariners + Mailbag
Q: As content creators, how has access to the ballpark and players changed your view of the Mariners and the game?
There is more information and a deeper, more personal rooting interest, which can color perception but often leads to more informed opinions when we talk on air.
Episode 446: Where Does This Season Rank In The Most Disappointing Seasons In Mariners History? (Mailbag)
Q: What is your prediction on World Series champion this year?
We both expect the Dodgers to repeat, with a belief in their playoff machinery and history of turning it on in October, despite a current cool stretch.
Episode 440: Ty Dane Gonzalez + Colby Patnode (Locked On Mariners Podcast)
Q: Where do you stand on what they did at the trade deadline, was it underwhelming and why?
Both guests and hosts agree that the deadline felt like a soft buy and that buying signals were not fully followed through; the team moved Ward and cut other players but did not secure meaningful bullpen upgrades, which undermined the sense of urgency and raised questions about the front office strategy.
Episode 439: Should The Mariners Put Kade Anderson In The Rotation Or Bullpen When He Is Promoted? (Mailbag)
Q: September callups, who do you think will come up?
They discuss the possibility of bringing up Ryan Sloan and Kade Anderson, with a suggestion that only one pitcher and one hitter can be called up, and potential candidates include Michael Rucker if not Sloan, or another utility player like Nick Davila or Jonathan Diaz if already up.
Episode 436: Reacting To The Mariners Losing The Series To The Dodgers + Mailbag
Q: Should the Mariners pursue Lane Thomas or Rob Refsnyder as a right-handed bat?
Lane Thomas would be an option, but not a dramatic upgrade; he is more near-term improvement than a complete overhaul of the lineup.
