  • Favorite show on the air!

I never listened to sports radio until my friend Sierra relentlessly badgered me to give “Bump and Stacy” a listen. Glad she did. Bump has an effortless cool, Curtis is a sports savant, and Stacy has the charm and humor to make every show enjoyable. Even if she’s got some questionable takes, Stacy has a fan for life.

  • Just not good. Unfortunately

I really wanted to like Bump and Stacy, but after giving it many chances, I can confidently say it’s just not a great sports talk show. The discussions often feel surface-level, with little real insight or analysis beyond the obvious talking points.

Bump brings some good energy, but his breakdowns can be redundant, and he tends to repeat the same phrases without adding much depth. Stacy tries to keep the show moving, but the chemistry between the two feels forced at times, and their conversatio... more

  • Bummer

Welp, I’m out on Bump and Stacy. I was starting to like them way more than Brock and Salk (especially Salk) but their complete misunderstanding of how and why Title IX works and the fact that the Department of Education is NOT the NCAA was beyond disappointing. If you don’t understand an important sports topic to this extent, then either interview an expert or just don’t bring it up. But please don’t spread ill-informed opinions that aren’t based on reality. It’s a disservice to your listeners.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Hour 2: ESPN’s Jesse Rogers on where the Mariners stand in the AL West
Q: What's the sense of urgency for this team to get better?
I don’t think you do anything in the near future. The AL West is too tight to sort of make that big move now.
Hour 2: ESPN’s Jesse Rogers on where the Mariners stand in the AL West
Q: How common is a six man rotation with the injuries that happened with the Mariners?
It's just tough to maintain it. It's tough to develop six starters to do it, but it could make sense for the Mariners.
Hour 2: ESPN’s Jesse Rogers on where the Mariners stand in the AL West
Q: Where do you slot the Mariners in among the AL Playoff hopefuls right now?
The AL West is not exactly its strongest version of itself right now. It's kind of wide open, and Seattle has potential.
Hour 3: The Ringer's Steven Ruiz on the Impact of the Geno Smith Trade
Q: What do you think about the team as a whole?
Despite the changes, there is optimism about the defense and the potential for future improvement, even if the offensive line is lacking.
Hour 3: The Ringer's Steven Ruiz on the Impact of the Geno Smith Trade
Q: What do you expect from Cooper Kupp?
His performance will depend on his physical condition, but he could potentially be a significant asset due to his blocking abilities.
