I never listened to sports radio until my friend Sierra relentlessly badgered me to give “Bump and Stacy” a listen. Glad she did. Bump has an effortless cool, Curtis is a sports savant, and Stacy has the charm and humor to make every show enjoyable. Even if she’s got some questionable takes, Stacy has a fan for life.
I really wanted to like Bump and Stacy, but after giving it many chances, I can confidently say it’s just not a great sports talk show. The discussions often feel surface-level, with little real insight or analysis beyond the obvious talking points.
Bump brings some good energy, but his breakdowns can be redundant, and he tends to repeat the same phrases without adding much depth. Stacy tries to keep the show moving, but the chemistry between the two feels forced at times, and their conversatio... more
Welp, I’m out on Bump and Stacy. I was starting to like them way more than Brock and Salk (especially Salk) but their complete misunderstanding of how and why Title IX works and the fact that the Department of Education is NOT the NCAA was beyond disappointing. If you don’t understand an important sports topic to this extent, then either interview an expert or just don’t bring it up. But please don’t spread ill-informed opinions that aren’t based on reality. It’s a disservice to your listeners.
Love the show!
