  • Best Seahawks Podcast!

I discovered Brian’s podcast early in the 2025 season, and it quickly became my favorite Seahawks podcast.

I really enjoy his nerdy, analytical takes on the team. What sets him apart is his honesty. There’s no rage bait, hot takes, or click-driven headlines-just thoughtful discussion from someone who clearly knows the game and cares about the team.

Brian does a great job balancing being both a fan and a writer. He’s willing to admit when he was wrong, and he’s not shy about celebrating when he... more

  • Best Hawks Coverage

Brian does a fantastic job covering the hawks and is constantly bringing creative new ways to discuss the team instead of hearing the same take from 16 different studios . Hear something new from a guy who will respectfully challenge your take & mainstream media coverage. Personally has added a new way of thinking to how I see football overall not just my fandom for the Hawks . Go 12s!

  • Fantastic listen

I have been a listener since 2018, this show helps me get through my morning at work. My girl aint a fan of his but she’s a niner fan so that just means he’s doing a great job of reporting the truth unlike some of the people she listens to.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Lindsay Rhodes Shares NFL Insights From SumerSports
Q: What are the considerations around drafting a running back in the first round?
The guest argues that first-round backs aren't always worth the investment if there are capable, cost-effective alternatives later in the draft. The emphasis is on fit, depth, and overall roster strategy rather than chasing a premium running back when the return may not justify the cost.
Lindsay Rhodes Shares NFL Insights From SumerSports
Q: How does Sumer balance data with traditional scouting?
Sumer combines advanced metrics (like the Sumer score) with scouting insights to form a holistic view of players. The aim is to respect the scouts' on-field observations while applying data-driven benchmarks to validate or challenge those impressions.
Lindsay Rhodes Shares NFL Insights From SumerSports
Q: What is the apex position and why is it important for modern Seattle defense?
The apex position is a versatile role where a defender isn't limited to one traditional spot; it allows the player to cover multiple responsibilities based on alignment and motion. This flexibility is crucial for adapting to offenses and creating matchup problems, which is why the Seahawks and others are experimenting with it.
REACTIONS: Rob Staton Talks New Seahawks Owners
Q: Do you think this ownership group can learn from past experiences?
Yes, by acknowledging past missteps, building a collaborative environment with the GM and head coach, and backing up decisions with a clear, long-term vision.
REACTIONS: Rob Staton Talks New Seahawks Owners
Q: What are the attributes you want to see in a new owner?
A balance of football savvy and respect for the existing staff, with a willingness to listen and support the football operations rather than override them.
