Great podcast. Love the Sami episode especially as my family have Sami as well as mainstream Finnish forebears. Even though we’ve been in America for two generations we treasure our Finnish roots. Cannot wait for the next episode.
I’m super interested in Finnish history so please keep making these! Love from Ireland
I really enjoyed these podcasts. I found them very interesting and the presenter’s voice and tone is so easy to listen to.
I’ve visited Finland 3 times since 2002 and I love it there and consider it my second country. I have friends who live there, one good friend being in the band Von Hertzen Brothers. I just stumbled upon this podcast one day and just started listening to it. I’m going to sit in the sauna, drink some Salmiakki, and listen to the podcast. Keep up the great work and I love your accent! Let’s have a beer the next time I’m in Finland.
I have always had an interest in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. I’ve gone as far as to learn Norwegian and have recently started learning Finnish. I love learning the history of countries, and Finland is especially fascinating. This podcast is fun as well as laid back and relaxing. It’s very informative and I look forward to every episode. I hope you continue to produce more episodes! Kiitos!
This podcast has been a fun way to connect with my Finnish heritage and learn history! It is funny and engaging, and the narrator’s voice is honestly so beautiful and soothing, it’s a bit like history class ASMR. Definitely give it a listen!
I'm really glad I found this podcast. I'm considering moving to Finland so I figured I learn about it as well. I enjoy the stories the podcaster tells and the word choice he uses. I enjoy how he talks to the audience while also telling the stories. He speaks softly and the vibe is rather relaxing. I like his accent and the smoothness of his voice. 🙂
I have been searching for a history of Finland for years and this one is exactly what I was looking for. I love history and have always been interested in Finland as a people and a country. In the first few episodes this one delivers just the kind of content I’ve been looking for. Keep up the great work!
