James Cary

It’s a podcast. But it’s also an audiobook. No prizes for guessing which book I’ll be reading from. That would be the Gospel According to a Sitcom Writer written and read by me, James Cary. I’m a sitcom writer for the BBC, with a hand in Miranda, Bluestone 42, Thanks A Lot, Milton Jones, Hut 33, My Hero, My Family, Citizen Khan. You get the idea. Half hour comedy is my bag. • Great audio book

Having enjoyed James’ writing and work for a while it’s great to hear him read his book. It’s and enjoyable listen, laughing with him about the disciples and seeing how God can speak to us through some of the more humorous passages from the bible.

  • Funny and insightful

I read the book a couple of years ago, but I’m having fun listening to it via the podcast now. It’s very funny and also relates profound truths that can only be found in the story of Jesus. The episodes are only 5-10 minutes long, so it’s easy to keep up with them. Highly recommend!
