  • Eloquent & Educational

Love this podcast, Glen is such a lyrical speaker and i helping me be more confident about being open with my developing faith. Well done to the team as you clearly do loads of research too! The one about Ricky Gervais was mic-drop brilliant and perfect length for my (luckily only) 30min commute!

  • Troværdigt

Er vild med at denne podcast ikke følger de selektive ensporede tendenser/vinkler som fx DR og TV2 følger. Jeg har særligt sat pris på at denne podcast ikke udviser jødehad.

  • Thought provoking and excellent

This is such an excellent podcast - the truth expounded and dissected in such a helpful way. Just listened to the most recent episode on the 6 lies we are being fed right now in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s death - I will recommend this one to everyone who will listen to me! Thank you Glen and all who are involved in producing this podcast.

  • Very Good

Glen Scrivener is one of my favorite public theologian/evangelists. His Trinitarian emphasis is refreshing and he is easily the most learned evangelist you’ll ever hear. He knows much about church history, philosophy, and literature. He has charitable but uncompromising views of the Catholic Church. And he brings all of this to bear when appropriate but still puts Christ first. Highly recommended.

A superb podcast, directly relevant to today but rooted in biblical truth. Great ideas, illustrations and techniques.

Former U.S. Senator Ben Sasse: Not Afraid To Die (Here's Why) || SLP653

Sasse admits unease about readiness, yet finds grounding in Christ and the promise of divine support, suggesting readiness comes through faith and the Spirit's work.
What This Famous Sceptic Can't Deny (Bart Ehrman) || SLP645
Q: Why does the Easter narrative hold such central importance in Christian history, even for skeptics?
The Easter narrative provides a framework for understanding Jesus as a divine figure whose death and resurrection inaugurate a transformative moral movement, which Ehrman acknowledges as historically significant even if he questions the miraculous claims.
What This Famous Sceptic Can't Deny (Bart Ehrman) || SLP645
Q: What is your view on whether miracles like walking on water can be established historically?
Ehrman explains that while it's not impossible, there is no solid historical method to definitively establish such miracles, as alternative explanations are often more plausible and better supported by testimony.
Glen Scrivener Pressed on his Debate with Alex O'Connor: Full Breakdown || SLP635
Q: What is the foundational claim about Christianity's role in abolition and rights?
The speakers debate whether Christianity provided the foundational moral framework for abolition and human rights, acknowledging influence while noting that non-realist and emotivist positions challenge the idea that Christian ethics alone can ground progress.
Alex O’Connor vs Glen Scrivener: Epic Debate or Failure to Communicate? || SLP633
Q: Can you think of an example of something society could be doing that would disallow you, that would falsify the idea that it's Christian in origin?
Scrivener insists that many societal developments are unthinkable without the influence of Christianity, even if they have strayed from its core teachings.
