This is a standout series that challenges conventional thinking and dives deep into the nuances of global finance, economics and policy. Love the two sided approach to complex issues which provokes the listener to think critically, and explore a perspective that they may not have thought of. It’s a must-listen for me.
There’s a lot to like about the underlying content presented here, but obviously pre-scripted exchanges make some “conversations” almost impossible to listen to. Stronger guests admirably try to compensate for this, but I’ve yet to hear both participants able to pull this off, and more often you get results like the most recent episode on whether European equities can outperform the U.S. in which it would be more worthwhile just to scan the transcript of the chat than listen to a pretend debate ... more
There is no doubt that the host are incredibly intelligent, however there is nothing thought provoking presented. Multiple points are based on qualitative opinion versus quantitative market indicators. I doubt Barclays makes any money off of this podcast, as seen in the low quality of effort put forth.
This is not a natural conversation flow. If you’re going to have a script Just have bullet points and statistics
