  • Sound Quality

I follow many JPM shows. The sound quality can be quite poor. Please have speakers use higher quality sound equipment. It can be quite difficult to hear speakers.

  • Terrible sound quality

It is shocking that the almighty JP Morgan doesn't have money to invest in a decent studio or editing. The contents are pretty good, when you can hear them!!!!! Please put some money in new equipment or hire a competent sound editor. We can barely hear them sometimes. There are huge volume and clarity differences between the people talking. Good content, terrible sound quality.

  • Good themas but low quality sound

It is shocking that the almighty JP Morgan doesn't have money to invest in a decent studio or interview procedures. The contents are pretty good, when you can hear them!!!!! Please put some money in new equipment. To be fair, it may not be your studio, but from the people that you interview. We can barely hear them sometimes. Take them to a studio!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Global Rates: A Mixed Bag of Inflation Market Views
Q: What did the latest inflation print tell us about European inflation?
In July, both headline and core inflation in Europe moved up, with core momentum still rising, led by core goods rather than services, and energy shocks plus geopolitical tensions continuing to feed through to prices.
Global Rates: A Mixed Bag of Inflation Market Views
Q: How much of the story is about the data and how much is about the Fed?
The answer is that it is both; data remain important, but the Fed's reaction function and communications, especially Walsh's framing, have become increasingly influential in shaping near-term pricing and expectations.
US Rates: “Truth” and consequences: The impact of President Trump's Truth Social posts on interest rate markets
Q: Could you summarize what you learned from the analyses on two topics (tariffs and the Middle East) and how the effect evolved?
In both topics, the typical post didn't cause large moves, resembling normal market noise, but a minority of posts did trigger outsized moves; importantly, the effect weakened over time, with desensitization occurring as posts remained in focus for shorter periods.
US Rates: “Truth” and consequences: The impact of President Trump's Truth Social posts on interest rate markets
Q: So why is this such big news?
The discussion explains that an API could enable rapid, automated analysis of Trump posts to gauge potential market impact, attracting interest from institutions that want real-time data feeds to inform or automate trading decisions.
In Focus: US Defense
Q: What needs to change for the US to stay competitive?
A deeper integration between the military and commercial sectors, leveraging the commercial tech ecosystem, and adopting modular, open architectures to enable faster scale-up and innovation.
