I’ve only recently discovered Film 89 a few months ago but have already binged all their episodes so far and just looking at what they’ve put out in 2023 alone, Christine, Return of the Jedi, Scarface, Wolf of Wall Street, The Wicker Man, The Great Escape, Enter the Dragon and The Exorcist and lots more, it’s just amazing and my new favourite podcast. Keep up the great work guys!
A superb podcast. Skye and his team mix knowledgeable insight with laugh out loud humour. They say time flies when you’re having fun and every episode of this excellent podcast flies by! The analysis provided caused me to revisit much of the subject matter, in particular the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I enjoyed them more on the second time of viewing. Can’t rate this podcast highly enough, keep it going lads 👏👏 Antony Cardiff
This podcast somehow never gets dull. The hosts are brilliant and so knowledgeable. It’s like a portable film school and also funny as hell. Sky, Neil, Steve, Rich and the others all feel like friends I’ve known for years. 10/10.
Always worth listening to and eagerly anticipated. Handles both contemporary and classic film well. Entertaining discussions consisting of contagious enthusiasm leavened with occasional snark. For a good intro try their discussion of Lawrence of Arabia or Season 2 of the Mandalorian.
Thank you Film ‘89 team for this amazing podcast. All that I wanted was you to cover Bond and now you have. Love every episode, the chat is always informative and never pretentious and I feel like I know you guys like close friends. Keep up the great work.
