Stephen Spielberg’s big-budget movie “Disclosure Day” is a failed attempt to capture our fascination with aliens and the spiritual consequences their disclosure might bring.
Recently the Archbishop of Detroit spoke of Islam as if he were himself a devout Muslim. Sadly, this is just the latest example in a decades-long love affair between the Catholic hierarchy and Islam.
The upcoming SSPX episcopal consecrations have revealed the woeful state of Catholic catechesis, both from its critics and its supporters.

Eric Sammons is right over the target every time. For my money he offers the best (most honest, insightful and charitable) Catholic commentary out there. Thanks Eric for the great service you do for the Church!
as a hopeful catholic convert, the podcasts on the purpose of mass and the rosary have been excellent for my spiritual development
Not afraid to be a little spicy for the sake of honesty. Mr Sammons is a man of good will and I think good takes on church and secular events.
Eric: I suggest you discuss with and then interview Fr. Murr on this subject. He and I are the same age. I’m a revert and love the TLM and attend the NO with my wife.
Fr. Murr celebrates TLM every day , and I’m sure you know his history with the Vatican and his friendship with some big hitters of the 70’s and 80’s.
He has a good understanding and view of Vatican II which I think is really much like your own.
Vatican II is legitimate but has issues in some documents.

A Catholic-leaning, intellectually rigorous show that surveys theology, church history, liturgy, and current events through a traditional lens. Episodes frequently tackle Vatican II, canon law, ecumenism, liturgical practices, and Catholic identity, often pitting traditional practice against modern reforms. Notable strengths include thorough doctrinal exploration, thoughtful critique of church leadership, and a clear, opinionated voice that invites dialogue while maintaining a strong stance on orthodoxy. The format often blends solo commentary with guest conversations and audience interaction, making it a good fit for listeners who enjoy deep dives into Catholic doctrine, culture, and public life.
