  • Low value information

Just a bunch of self congratulatory pat on the back interviews. Why are you so great? What great things will you do next? If you’re looking for a host that pry’s tactics and strategies from the guest, getting them to spill the secret sauce, look elsewhere.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Nina Steiner: Hollywood's Tenant Rep and the Writers' Room Whisperer
Q: What still excites you after 10 years in this space?
The phone ring and the feeling of landing a deal, but more importantly maintaining balance—being a deal junkie while protecting work-life balance, and enjoying the process of helping clients achieve the right outcomes.
Nina Steiner: Hollywood's Tenant Rep and the Writers' Room Whisperer
Q: Why tenant representation, and how do you gain their trust?
Tenant representation lets me work one-on-one with clients to find the right fit, and trust is earned through consistent, honest communication, proof stacking, and delivering options that align with their needs, even when some landlords don't cooperate with brokers.
Nina Steiner: Hollywood's Tenant Rep and the Writers' Room Whisperer
Q: What surprised you the most as you transitioned from entertainment into this industry?
The volume of rules and regulations in leasing came as a big surprise, along with the importance of vetting clients and practicing due diligence, which taught me that the process is as much about trust as it is about deals.
Nina Steiner: Hollywood's Tenant Rep and the Writers' Room Whisperer
Q: Okay. A little bit about yourself. Let's talk about your background because you didn't always do this. You've been doing this for about ten years. What did you do before this? How did you get into commercial real estate?
I fell into it after working in internet and new media, led by a meetup about flexible office space that sparked the transition. I leveraged my entertainment background to serve the industry, studied for my license, and gradually built expertise in tenant representation, especially for writers' rooms and production spaces.
Dylan Walsh on NYC Investment Sales: Development, Debt, and Deals
Q: How do you balance brokerage with leadership and team building in a high-output market like NYC?
Walsh outlines time management, blocking hours for admin, underwriting, and follow-ups, and maintaining regular team meetings to monitor pipelines and foster a scalable, collaborative environment.
