  • Great show!

John was a great host. We dug into the details of scaling from small multifamily to midsize multifamily properties. He understands the nuances of scaling a company and asked insightful questions. He has a thoughtful approach to his interviews. I recommend John and The Best Ever CRE Show.

  • Love the show, but…

This show is in my queue every day. Love the content! One thing that I find detrimental is that some of the interviewers constantly interrupt the guests. Aside from that, please keep up the great shows!

  • Great content, horrible production

The content on this prodcasf is great, they cover many different sections of CRE. Also a fan of the multiple hosts. The only negative is their production, the volume from the guest and host are often very far apart. Also background thunder sound for the lighting round is obnoxiously loud and completely unnecessary

JF 4224: Supply and Demand, Bootstrapping Growth, Marketplace Strategy ft. Steve Taylor
Q: What exactly is SoCommercial and who is it for?
SoCommercial is a listing platform designed for anyone with commercial real estate to buy, sell, or rent, including smaller spaces and non-traditional spaces, with no broker license required to list. It aims to unify both supply and demand under one roof and provide flexible, user-friendly listing and collaboration opportunities.
JF 4198: Navigating Macro Trends in Real Estate ft. Judd Dunning
Q: So what makes triple net leases truly 'triple net' and how does that structure impact risk for investors?
Triple net means the tenant takes over property costs like maintenance, taxes, and insurance, shifting much of the management burden away from the investor. Absolute triple net minimizes active management to a single check, but prudent owners still verify the tenant's fundamentals and maintain critical property aspects to protect long-term cash flow.
JF 4218: Real Estate Strategies in a Changing Economy ft. John Chang
Q: What are your big economic highlights from the month of March?
The March data show a slowdown in job creation and consumption, with revisions downward likely; yet GDP growth remains around 2.5%, suggesting the economy is chugging along despite employment weakness. Inflation pressures and geopolitical tensions, notably the war in the Middle East, are influencing rate expectations and capital markets, shaping how real estate investors should position themselves. John emphasizes watching labor markets, household formation, and construction activity as key indicators for multifamily demand and cap rates.
JF 4215: Transforming Lives Through Real Estate ft. Kevin “KAYR” Robinson
Q: Why did you choose to start investing in properties in low-to-middle-income urban environments, and how do you manage risk there?
He explains analyzing ZIP codes and blocks, doing on-the-ground neighborhood assessments, talking to residents, and ensuring tenant diversity to avoid concentration risk; he emphasizes cultivating good management, strong screening, and aligning with the community to drive sustainable returns.
JF 4215: Transforming Lives Through Real Estate ft. Kevin “KAYR” Robinson
Q: Can you walk us through your origin story and how you went from West Philadelphia to Goldman Sachs?
KR describes a challenging upbringing, the shift in mindset encouraged by his stepfather, leadership roles in school, and multiple internships that culminated in an offer from Goldman Sachs, followed by a pivot into real estate investing driven by a long-term plan and a focus on cash flow and disciplined growth.
