  • Love the show, but…

This show is in my queue every day. Love the content! One thing that I find detrimental is that some of the interviewers constantly interrupt the guests. Aside from that, please keep up the great shows!

  • Great content, horrible production

The content on this prodcasf is great, they cover many different sections of CRE. Also a fan of the multiple hosts. The only negative is their production, the volume from the guest and host are often very far apart. Also background thunder sound for the lighting round is obnoxiously loud and completely unnecessary

I haven’t listened in a couple years, but compared to Joe (or really anyone else who hosts a podcast), what a terrible switch. This guy is just devoid of the personality traits that create a good conversation. From his overly monotone speech to being downright rude - bordering on condescending - to his guests if they divert even slightly from the ... more

JF 4034: From Student Housing to Build-to-Rent, Partnerships and Community Impact ft. Jeff Niemeier
Q: What was it about built to rent that was attractive versus, say, established apartments?
Jeff states that BTR allows you to control the project from the beginning and avoid the typical problems associated with older properties that tend to have undisclosed issues.
JF 4034: From Student Housing to Build-to-Rent, Partnerships and Community Impact ft. Jeff Niemeier
Q: From your standpoint, like, why did BTR grow as much as it did?
Jeff explains that the growth of BTR is largely due to rising interest rates which forced investors to look for alternatives and to the realization that there is a shortage of affordable housing available, making the model attractive to renters who want the benefits of living in a house without the long-term commitments of ownership.
JF 4031: Using Podcasts to Build Trust and Raise More Capital ft. Spencer Carpenter
Q: How should interviewees control the conversation?
It's essential that there is mutual respect between the host and guest, and that both are engaging the listener.
