  • Belle Isle-Freedom City

Lifetime Cash Flow is a very interesting podcast. Rod has a great knowledge about real estate income properties. In this podcast he went beyond the typical RE opportunities to engage in a discussion about city-building. Thanks to Rod for giving me the opportunity to present. For more information, go to www.belleisle-freedomcity.com. The book “Belle Isle- Detroit’s Game Changer” explains the vision in detail.

  • Beware!

Beware of predatory practices! My parents followed and trusted Rod and his team. Found him from this podcast. He convinced them to invest with his company with huge promises. My parents are both highly educated people and now retired. They invested a huge amount trusting what Rod and his team trained on. Years later they haven’t seen a dime of profit and hundreds of thousands tied up in bad investments. Rod hasn’t offered any sort of help. They may never get it back. I’m hoping this helps someo... more

He Quit Surgery and Built a $2 Billion Real Estate Portfolio | Ep.1,258
Q: What first drew you toward real estate after a career in medicine, and how did you start learning the business?
I moved into real estate to gain back time and flexibility, started in triple net space, and learned by joining masterminds and partnering with others, which helped me transition from LP investments to active roles and capital raising.
Why Buying Boring Businesses Is The Smartest Investment Of The Next Decade | Ep. 1,250
Q: How could someone begin to get started emulating what you're doing on a smaller scale?
Start with a clearly defined target size (e.g., a business doing around $1-2 million in EBITDA), then use available financing like SBA loans to fund a purchase, structure with a seller note or earn-out for the remainder, and plan to apply professionalization and KPI-driven management to unlock value.
How To Legally Pay Less Tax As A Real Estate Investor In 2026 | Ep. 1,247
Q: How many hours are required to qualify as a real estate professional, and what happens if you also have a full-time W-2 job?
To qualify, you must have 50% or more of your time in real estate as your primary activity; there's also a 750-hour fallback, but if you don't meet the 50% rule, the classification is not met—adding a working spouse can sometimes help in a married filing jointly situation.
He Bought A Building For $5.7M And Forced The Value To $10.5M With One Letter | Ep.1,249
Q: Why did you decide to move from education and Deloitte to real estate development and multifamily investing?
The guest explains a desire to start his own business and create a positive community impact, leveraging his background in finance and operations to build a value-add, construction-driven real estate strategy.
We Looked at 210 Deals Last Year and Only Bought 8 - Here's What We Found | Ep. 1,241
Q: What's next for you guys and how do you plan to continue growing?
We plan to keep expanding the brokerage footprint, grow the fund, densify the portfolio in a few growth markets, and hire dedicated acquisition leadership to source and close more deals.
