  • New afternoon personality please

I have nothing against Tim, but I find his voice extremely annoying and I turn off 99.9 the fan every time he is on unfortunately. I am begging you to find another afternoon host. Please.

Just doesn’t match up to Ovies & Giglio. Was not the best move made at 99.5 TheFan.

  • New format is a downgrade

No disrespect intended, but the new format is a major step back. The quality of info, discussion and interviews has also taken a nosedive.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How well does Michael Malone fit UNC basketball?
Q: Can you give us like the cliff notes? What kind of coach Mike Malone is as he takes over Carolina?
Malone is a great coach and leader who motivates players, has strong NBA experience, and should translate well to college with his ability to develop talent and connect with players.
Wes Miller on becoming the new head coach of Charlotte basketball
Q: How do you approach scheduling and net rankings to ensure Charlotte's resume aligns with its capability?
Charlotte will need to balance tough non-conference play with the league's structure, pursue advantageous home-and-home or neutral-site games, and leverage experiences from Greensboro/Vermont to raise NET and related metrics while preparing for conference play.
Wes Miller on becoming the new head coach of Charlotte basketball
Q: Can you talk about Marcus Paige and why you brought him to Charlotte?
Marcus Paige has been someone Miller has grown to value as a coach, has strong North Carolina roots, and is seen as a rising star whose experience and leadership will help Charlotte build a competitive program.
Wes Miller on becoming the new head coach of Charlotte basketball
Q: What is the priority in taking over Charlotte, and how is it different from when you took over UNCG?
The priority is building the right staff and the roster first, then steadily increasing the program's momentum; the process is slower and more complex due to the higher profile, but the core focus remains on developing players, staff, and community connections.
Ryan Odom on his quick turnaround of Virginia basketball
Q: How did you approach rebuilding the roster after losing the entire team?
We focused on the character and fit of each player, bringing in individuals who would buy into Virginia's culture and work ethic, and we prioritized players who could connect with teammates and contribute to a long-term vision.
