  • New afternoon personality please

I have nothing against Tim, but I find his voice extremely annoying and I turn off 99.9 the fan every time he is on unfortunately. I am begging you to find another afternoon host. Please.

Just doesn’t match up to Ovies & Giglio. Was not the best move made at 99.5 TheFan.

  • New format is a downgrade

No disrespect intended, but the new format is a major step back. The quality of info, discussion and interviews has also taken a nosedive.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Carolina Hurricanes dominate Game 4 against the Montreal Canadiens
Q: What adjustments should Carolina expect Montreal to try in Game 5, and how should the Hurricanes respond?

Carolina Hurricanes dominate Game 4 against the Montreal Canadiens
Q: How much credit does Dobesh deserve for keeping this one close given how dominant the Hurricanes have been overall?
Dubnyk praises Dobesh's competitiveness and resiliency, noting he has been unbelievable all playoffs and especially in the last few games, keeping the Canadiens in contention despite the Hurricanes' sustained pressure.
Carolina Hurricanes earn a 4-3 OT win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup
Q: Dennis, was the no goal that was reviewed correct? Is that the correct decision?
The answer is nuanced; from an official's perspective, there has to be conclusive evidence to overturn a call, and while many players would have argued for a goal, the decision hinges on the exact review criteria and what is definitively shown.
Can the Carolina Hurricanes turn it around after their 6-2 loss in Game 1?
Q: How important is game two for Carolina, and what adjustments should they make coming home?
Game two is crucial as a corrective turning point; Carolina should emphasize maintaining pressure without over-committing, reinforce defensive coverage around their top players, and rely on their depth to contribute while the top line regains their scoring touch.
Can the Carolina Hurricanes turn it around after their 6-2 loss in Game 1?
Q: What do you think went wrong for Carolina in game one that allowed Montreal to gain early momentum?
Carolina's structure slipped, they were a bit out of sorts with uncharacteristic plays and less-than-ideal positioning, and Montreal exploited that by applying constant pressure and finishing with timely goals. Carolina will need to tighten defensively and regain their rhythm to counter that early push.
