  • Huge disappointment and missed opportunity

    1. On the level of substance, Cass and American Compass have interesting perspectives. They are center-right, and the opportunity to unite with the center-left (and progressives) to explore significant common ground and bold ideas is as necessary as it is obvious. Yet Cass and Compass remain oddly and irresponsibly unwilling to disavow the disaster of Trump, and they continue to support ideologues and Trump-era sycophants like JD Vance. It’s bizarre.
