  • Two good and one bad

I don’t understand why they let a Scotsman filibuster conversations on the American character. All he does is troll the other speakers. Don’t believe me? Listen to how fluidly he changes from “we” meaning the British and “we” meaning the Americans depending on whose goat he’s trying to get. He makes it nearly unlistenable. Thank good ness for Messrs McMasters and Cochrane

  • Louder/Longer not necessarily right

Niall-long time listener and fan of Goodfellows and you BUT in the recent Constitution you acted like louder and longer made you right. Instead it took away from the discussion

  • Outdated perspectives & solutions; tiresomely TDS-inflected

Predictably liberal, milquetoast neocon “conservatism” from Hoover. That is not without its merits to be sure, but the programme would benefit from the inclusion of a paleoconservative as well. Each American intellectual tradition complements and fortifies the other, from my admittedly limited British viewpoint. In its absence, the show often feels like old age pensioners rehearsing warmed-over neoconservative talking points.

  • Ms. Rice

With great respect for a show I listen to regularly, and feel I learn from, I must disagree with Ms. Rice.

Her statement in regard to Anthropic:

““It is actually against the laws of the United States to have mass surveillance of the American public. And so I am not quite sure that it is useful to lay out constraints that may not be needed.”

This presidency and administration has demonstrated concerning disregard for the safety of Americans and the role of the checks and balances laid out in ... more

Q: What do you think Washington does differently if the market goes drastically south in 2026?
