  • Worth a Listen (or 2)

Absolutely love listening to Jay and his guests. The questions are well thought out and that leads to engaging conversations. Most episodes require a second listen as there is so much to take in. Jay has a way of connecting with his guests that is authentic and brings out vulnerability in others. The themes covered means there is something in here for everyone.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ep 190 - David Galbraith - The 15,000 Feet Moment: How Everyone Has a Moment of Terror and How It Can Transform Your Life
Q: How can coaches shift a team's culture to reduce panic under pressure?
Coaches must model bravery, embrace fear as a friend, and implement clear frameworks that empower players to own their roles and decisions rather than fear the coach's judgment.
Ep 190 - David Galbraith - The 15,000 Feet Moment: How Everyone Has a Moment of Terror and How It Can Transform Your Life
Q: What is the practical difference between a target and a goal?
A target is the outcome you want; a goal is the process and actions you commit to in order to achieve that outcome, supported by interim milestones.
Ep 188 - Dave Rennie **RE POST** All Black Coach 2026
Q: What's the biggest difference coaching Australians vs New Zealanders, and how does that influence preparation?
The main differences lie in fundamentals and conditioning; Australians historically had slick, high-skill play, while New Zealand teams emphasize fundamentals, catching, passing, and strength in tight spaces, which requires more targeted training and coaching attention.
Ep 185 - Owen Eastwood - Unveiling Europe's Ryder Cup Triumph: Strategy, Leadership, and Belonging
Q: How do you cultivate that sense of belonging in such a short time frame?
We are a team all of the time, and we have set pieces to connect, engage and ritualize our gatherings, even a year before the event.
Episode 184 - Dave Keelty & Samuel McKenzie -The Art of Coaching: Frameworks and Adaptability
Q: How has your coaching understanding evolved since you started?
Dave explains that he's learned the importance of having difficult conversations skillfully, consistently showing care for the players, and focusing on effective training design.
