  • Transformational

Karl's podcasts are superb and so is this app. It is really easy to use in bite-size elements, or for longer sessions. As ever Karl's explanations are clear, easy to follow and understand, and transformational in their content. I'd give this app 6 stars if I could.

PGA Tour Winner Derek Ernst: Mindset, Winning a Playoff & Elite Golf Coaching Insights #402
Q: What were your early days like in developing your game and getting to the PGA Tour?
He describes a strong, recurring self-belief, early focus on visualization and shot creation, and limited reliance on coaching, which kept the game simple and trust-based until he reached the tour.
To Heaven and Hell and back – Ian Baker-Finch #401
Q: Ian, you alluded to the challenges after you won the Open; looking back, would you have done things differently?
Ian would have been gentler on himself, avoided chasing distance and too many coaching voices, and trusted his own rhythm and swing instead of overhauling everything under pressure.
Golf Mental Game Mastery: Lessons From 400 Episodes of The Mind Caddie #400
Q: What would you say to someone who thinks the mental game is nonsense or not important?
Karl argues that psychology is essential because the brain drives skill development; dismissing it ignores the gap between potential and performance and the need to align brain perception with golf tasks.
Golf Mental Game Mastery: Lessons From 400 Episodes of The Mind Caddie #400
Q: What training structure should a good practice session look like beyond simply hitting balls?
He suggests a session focused on patterns, not shots, and using the big three—club face orientation, strike location, and low point—to guide adjustments, plus a period of analysis with the pro to identify consistent patterns.
