  • Wonderful and emotive podcast

I have been catching up on all of the episodes since finding this podcast as few months ago and love the way Terry mixes the history with the untold personal stories. It is clear that this means so much to a man who devotes so much time and effort to the memory of these people and I really commend that this podcast focuses more on the individual story than the mass matter of fact.

I know how hard doing interviews is, especially online, but would encourage trying not to talk over guests or fin... more

  • Bringing History Alive

This is an excellent series of podcasts. They are clearly very well researched and Terry brings the episodes alive with personal stories about specific individuals as well as general details about the units and the battles.

It’s the personal stories which make them special for me and the empathic way they are delivered really makes you think about the impact of the Great War on individuals and families.

My only gripe about this podcast is that it’s costing me a fortune in books. Terry, pleas... more
