This 1969 anarchic film comedy was based on a Terry Southern novel and championed by Peter Sellers, but it seemed to mark the start of a decline for both their fortunes. We take on Chris's favorite movie, and try to get to the bottom of why he likes ... more
This horror comic has achieved surprising success despite its gore and all the dead kids. We talk about the comic's creation and promotion, and we ask "Is this all about trauma? Why aren't people talking about that?"

I’m so thrilled this podcast is back! I discovered it so late in the game, it was almost actually heartbreaking to find out they were on hiatus. Listening feels like a throwback to podcasts from an earlier time and knowing they’re back on a refined schedule is the best news I’ve heard all year. Others have said it first and better, but listen to episodes on topics you’ve never heard of / have interest in; the passion is genuine and the insights are resonant. I’ve found new things to engage with... more
One of the best podcasts out there on any subject. Both hosts are incredibly genuine and endearing, each in their own way. In an era sorely lacking in media literacy, Supercontext is here to save the day.

Y’all helped me get through the pandemic and then disappeared! I really liked your deep dives and your opinions. My only gripe is that you need a woman guest star on eps about women who is not afraid to talk over you about her own research, experiences, and opinions (the GLOW episode comes to mind)! They also dive into the production of each piece of media, a topic I usually don't care about! They bring research and quotes to discuss and prove they... more
