I wanted to love this but god the hosts voice is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO annoying. Can’t do it. “MER-DERE” ugh.
miss me with the subscription episodes. the nickel & dime approach to these shows is wild to me. put episodes up in patreon that aren’t free releases. annoying.
I was really excited for a show that pulled apart and analysed in depth our weird, macabre, and slightly off-putting obsession with true crime. Instead, this was just a description of different true crime genres, with cases discussed through other podcasts/TV shows/films rather than the cases themselves (taking these second hand sources as gospel) and then 5 minutes at the end going ‘oh yeah but isn’t it weird that we’re so obsessed with this’. Not quite what they advertise ...I enjoyed season 1 but the podcast is more about just reality TV and biases rather than racism on the real world. I feel like they accidentally fell into doing an ok podcast bc it doesn't match what they think they did. Season 2 about Vegas really good. Season 3 is just terrible. Couldn't listen to the whole thing
