SoloBickering is a one-player TTRPG podcast where the dice roll, the rules bend, and the arguments are all in my head. Join me as I dive into solo roleplaying adventures using Old-School Essentials and other systems, testing variant rules, homebrew mechanics, and narrative twists—sometimes brilliant, sometimes ridiculous. It’s part playthrough, part design lab, and part therapy session for a GM wi... more

Super interesting show and I like the extensive 'behind the scenes' commentary. Looking forward to catching up with the next few episodes!
I like the concept, however, there is a lot of sexual innuendo, which itself doesn’t bother me, however hearing a grown man pretend to be a woman, talking about her boobs is awkward and weird. And there’s talk of sexual assault, and I just don’t understand why or how that progresses the story. I keep listening in the hopes that there will there will be less and less of it, but doesn’t seem to be that way.
Excellent narrative and a prodigious release rate! Great show!

A one-person TTRPG show that blends solo play, inventive homebrew rules, and narrative experimentation. Episodes center on solo adventures using Old-School Essentials and other systems, with the host testing variant mechanics, storytelling twists, and improvised therapy-style reflections on running games alone. Listeners can expect a mix of humorous banter, clever dice-driven outcomes, and design-minded insights into solo game mastering that sometimes borders on a personal design lab. A distinctive angle is the introspective, almost dialogue-with-dice approach, offering both entertainment and takeaways for other GMs exploring solo play or system-mucking experiments.
