Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

How the New Intimacy Coordinator Contract is Good for the Whole Industry
Q: Can you talk about what this agreement has changed for intimacy coordinators and how actors engage with you?
The agreement creates a standard framework with clear expectations, and it formalizes the ICs' role as advocates and coordinators. Actors engage with ICs early, through pre-production meetings, script breakdowns, and ongoing conversations to ensure consent, safety, and a smooth process on set.
How the New Intimacy Coordinator Contract is Good for the Whole Industry
Q: Alicia, thinking back before this agreement, what were the biggest obstacles intimacy coordinators faced on set?
The biggest obstacles were the lack of consistency across studios and networks, and the absence of a standard baseline. Because contracts were negotiated per project, there was no universal minimum, which made it hard to protect performers reliably and to plan for safety and consent in a predictable way.
This Director Is Using Humor to Expose How AI Can't Act
Q: What has the reaction been from performers and the industry?
Responses have been largely positive and uplifting, with many performers messaging that the videos cheered them up and helped them process the situation.
This Director Is Using Humor to Expose How AI Can't Act
Q: What made you decide to audition AI actors as a format?
Because the core of acting is human emotion and interaction, and using AI in audition-style scenarios allowed me to demonstrate limitations in a relatable way.
This Director Is Using Humor to Expose How AI Can't Act
Q: So, you didn't have much experience with AI before your series, how did this inspiration arise?
I started exploring AI after a family trip and a discussion with my wife; I created a few AI videos to test what AI could and couldn't do, realizing there were many limitations and using humor to explain them.
