  • Finally making a review on a great podcast

Longtime listener since the very beginning, or very nearly so. When I was doing research in Italy in the winter of 2009, I brought the back catalog of a year or so podcasts and listened to them all while eating and walking around Rome. I've stayed with James and John for 12 years now and will continue to listen to them until they run out of ideas, which I hope they never do. Keep up the good work and remember it's not old... it's retroooo.

  • Love the show, but the move to Facebook is bad news!

    Come on, James & John!

Given the egregious privacy violations, ongoing corruption of democracies, selling of services and people's data, blatant lies in congressional and parliamentary testimony, and failure to effectively weed out malicious, even evil actors, embracing Facebook was absolutely the wrong move.

Please reconsider your decision. You guys strike me as reasonable, intelligent, and aware podcasters, who even extol the virtues of a simpler time, so it was staggering to learn of this ... more

  • Mostly Retro, Mostly Macintosh Podcast

For the fan of old Macintosh computers, this podcast series is a must. When I discovered it, I binged out on (then) 300 or so past episodes.

To be sure, despite the title, it is mostly about vintage Macintoshes. It is actually a homage to Apple, once Apple Computer, as well as all things with the 6-computed-Apple logo.

There are two hosts: James & John. The former is fan of all things Apple and frequently expounds on Apple‘s current offerings, which become interesting as these eventually bec... more

  • If you love Vintage Macs...

like I do, download this podcast. I've listened to all 348 episodes (with more to come) and still find it fresh and interesting. I have no idea how James and John find new topics to cover, and keep the listener interested, but they do. I started listening when they were up to episode 140, caught up, and eagerly await each new episode.

If you want to know about everything Mac related, there won't be much you won't know after listening to this podcast. Enjoy!
