The Retroist podcast continues to surprise me. So many times he’ll begin to cover some well-known property and I’ll lose interest. Not because I don’t love the movie, TV show, or whatever, but because many times it feels like these properties have been so well covered that it’s just not possible to add something new to the conversation. This guy literally just sounds like he’s reading the Wikipedia page for these movies. It’s incredibly boring. What a waste of a potentially great podcast. A real shame
Came across this podcast a couple of months ago and have been listening to this more than any other podcast since. It’s so well done. I love how he gives a personal story about the topic of the week before starting on the history of it. If you like pop culture of the 80’s, then I can almost guarantee that you’ll love this podcast.
