  • A worthy offshoot from The Retroist podcast

Love the varied topic range presented in this pod. It’s has a kinship to The Retroist podcast in that it explores unique, sometimes niche or forgotten avenues of our youth memory that many of us still hold in great reverence. As much of the targeted subject matter fades farther and farther into the historical rearview, it is great to get to revisit these subjects through the eyes and ears of others that have had these common experiences.

  • For nearly 15 years, I've been a devoted fan of The Retroist and his eponymous podcast. His nostalgic tales of vintage pop culture set the stage for learning the fascinating history of my favorite things. I'm thrilled with his new Video Store Podcast with suggestions of movies that I failed to notice the first time around, along with movies I’ve seen, but can re-watch with new appreciation. My watchlist of retro movies -- that I never knew I needed -- is growing with each episode!
