  • Strong recommend

I’ve listened to this podcast for over a decade now and I honestly cannot praise them more highly. They are always informed, entertaining and incredibly varied with their tastes which makes the listener always feel represented.

They have a fan for life in me and for as long as they continue to generate new content. How they have been able to bring out a weekly podcast without fail, with no adverts is a miracle. Trust me give them a listen, it’s like sitting chatting movies with old friends.

  • $10 A Month Is Laughable

It’s laughable these guys are squeezing people for $10 a month to get the paywall content. You can get streaming services like P+ for that money. Also, I’d like to ask the hosts why they are so fixated on “toxic masculinity”? I sense they are very insecure in their own masculinity.

  • Nah

Maybe one of the hosts is likable. But it’s not enough. and it’s hard to tell because they all have such similar voices, it’s like they are all children of professor Frink. And it just feels like they don’t even like the movies that they watch. I’ll stick to Filmsack.

  • Terrific library of film conversations

Long time listener, first time caller. I love the appreciative critiques they never shy from, & yet devote time & nuance explaining/backing up the reasonings. Even lesser films deserve some constructive feedback. Highly re-listenable episodes over the years ftw.

Please keep diving into pre-blockbuster era film, it's an ocean of untapped convo.

  • The most professionally run movie podcast

I’m a huge music fan and never really got into movies, probably because I barely had TV growing up. This podcast has tipped me off to movies I ended up really liking but may not have otherwise watched, like Thief, Rumblefish, The Batman and Drive. It has also helped me become an adequate conversationalist with movie buffs (seems like every other other person is one!) I’ve tried other movie podcasts to listen to at work but it seems like other movie pods always start with a heavy dose of of blabb... more
