  • Really Missing Sarah

I’ve really tried to keep my enthusiasm for this podcast, but it’s just not as good without Sarah. Alex and the chosen guests often have a problem with tone, seeming to spend more time chit chatting and yucking it up than coherently communicating something to the listener. It shows in the increasing length of each episode - more time talking but less said. Where I used to anxiously look forward to every episode, now some times I don’t bother to listen. I’d rather go back and listen to old episod... more

  • Fumbled The Others soooooo bad

How……. How do you misread the movie the others so badly?? You basically made it sound like the ending was a comedy. I feel like these guys don’t take the movies seriously at all. I get you’re ’not movie critics’ but come on, at least talk about the deeper meanings in these films.

  • the best movies podcast

I love this show- thank you Sarah and Alex! ❤️ It’s so refreshing to hear people look at these movies as art, and talk about what the art means to them, or what it meant in the context of the time/place it was made, and by whom. Looking forward to hearing more episodes!

  • Smart, fun, warm, and entertaining

This podcast has legitimately gotten me through hard times. I am a huge Sarah Marshall fan since You’re Wrong About. Her witty banter, and quick references make for smart and funny commentary. I am now a huge Alex Steed fan. I think he brings so much warmth and charisma to the show. I listen every day and watch movies the night before just to listen to their commentary the next day.
