  • Eh.

Half the stuff they say is wrong, all while being absolutely insufferable. Are they even paying attention to the movies they’re watching?

  • Great Pod just confused

Great content. Really do enjoy the guys chemistry and how much they remind me of old friends. My issue is with the almost complaining about the time you spend having to watch movies and do research for the pod. Can it really be that hard to watch a movie a few times and take some notes? Also we call a movie one of the best comedies ever and then rate it a 6/10 that’s just not smart

  • So many memories

I am a little late to listening to podcasts, but found The Confused Breakfast by accident. I started from the beginning and I am currently listening to The Legend of Billie Jean. I grew up watching this movie in a rotation with Dirty Dancing and Satisfaction!

I love hearing your takes on how the movies progress and how much you all love so many of the actors that we have lost throughout the years!

Thanks so much for the laughs, it helps me get through my day while at work!

  • FINALLY A GOOD MOVIE PODCAST

As a movie obsessed teenager, I often hyper fixate on movies and want to learn more about them. Unfortunately, most movie podcasts are a bunch of 1.sticks in the mud who hate genuinely good movies and are just probably depressed or 2. Can’t go 5 seconds without reminding you of their crazy political ideas. (I’m not joking. I once listened to a podcast where instead of talking about the little mermaid, they talked about how much they hate the police) I love how much fun these guys have with stuff... more

  • Unlistenable

Absolutely unlistenable. Incessantly laughing and cackling at their own jokes throughout. Can’t get past it. “Roy SCHNEIDER ???”, repeatedly throughout. For god sakes at least know the material you’re discussing. I had downloaded five podcasts, but couldn’t complete one. C’mon guys.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

BRUNCH: Talking Super Troopers 3 with Broken Lizard!!
Q: How does your writing process work across the ensemble to maintain coherence, tone, and jokes?
They begin with an outline, draft multiple Frankenstein revisions, appoint a point person to unify tone, and rely on ongoing editing to trim and sharpen humor without losing the spontaneity that gets developed in the writer's room.
BRUNCH: Talking Super Troopers 3 with Broken Lizard!!
Q: What inspired you to return to the well for Super Troopers 3, and why now?
The idea evolved from exploring Farva's relationships and expanding on the fan-loved dynamics, which led to a story that could blend nostalgia with fresh elements, while still appealing to existing fans.
National Lampoon's Vacation (1983)
Q: What makes this movie memorable for you as a kid versus as an adult?
As kids, the disasters and nonstop road-trip chaos were the draw, but as adults, the focus shifts to Clark's trying to give his family a meaningful vacation and the honesty of family dynamics.
BRUNCH: Dumb and Dumber with KFCbarstool
Q: As we really dive into this, who is the dumber one, Lloyd or Harry, and why does that dynamic work so well?
They agree Lloyd (Jim Carrey) often comes off as the more outrageous, but both characters' chemistry and timing carry the film, with moments where Harry's reactions actually reveal surprising cleverness.
Interviewing Ernie Reyes Jr (Surf Ninjas, TMNT 2: Secret of the Ooze)
Q: What inspired you to push for a vision that blended martial arts with hip hop and video games?
I wanted to create action films that felt authentic and true to my teenage world—martial arts, skate culture, gaming, and music. That unapologetic combination became Surf Ninjas and shaped my future projects, including pursuing ownership and creative control.
