I always look forward to listening to a new episode when it pops up in my feed. This was one of the best episodes of any podcast I have ever listened to. I do not dole out 5 stars readily. Thank you for reporting this story in an honest, compelling and compassionate manner, and giving us all a glimpse of hope as we see how the gospel tangibly changes lives.

Top Theology Stories of 2023 with Collin Hansen and Melissa Kruger
Q: How would you explain the difference between de-churching and de-conversion?
De-churching refers to the phenomenon of people leaving institutional churches for various reasons, while de-conversion implies a loss of faith altogether. De-churching often relates to social bonds fraying, rather than a rejection of faith itself.

Q: Can you share a little bit about what happened this summer and the impact that you think it's going to have on SBC churches?
The SBC ratified the decision to remove Saddleback Church, which is significant because it's one of the biggest churches in the largest Protestant denomination in the country. This has stirred a lot of confusion and discourse around women in ministry within the convention.
