Using “trauma” language to justify unforgiveness, masking and blame-shifting sin as “triggers” and setting up a perpetual victim-offender dynamic. I hope the resources do actually help people stuck in compulsive sexual sin to find freedom, but from a marriage standpoint the control dynamic they are creat... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

472 - Recovery Can’t Happen Alone | Summit Roundtable
Q: Why attend the summit in person versus virtually?
Attending in person provides a stronger sense of community, real-time connection, and the energy of a large shared experience, while virtual access still offers breadth of content and the option to engage remotely or host group viewings.
471 - Healing From The Betrayal Bind w/ Michelle Mays
Q: Can focusing on betrayal recovery lead to spouses leaving their marriage?
Michelle explains that healing can empower individuals to make healthier choices, including the difficult option of ending an unsafe relationship, but the goal is to restore safety and hope whether that means rebuilding the marriage or pursuing healthier paths if needed.
466 - Building Emotional Stability & Resilience
Q: How do we know if this is an area of strength or growth for us?
Heather explains that emotional stability is the ability to stay calm and balanced under stress, and even when it's a strength, it should remain a growth area because we're inherently emotional beings with ongoing capacity to improve.
468 - Recognizing The Lies We Believe w/ Sam Jolman
Q: What is the role of arousal in this framework, and how should one respond to it in a healthy way?
Arousal should be seen as a natural response to things that matter; bless and understand it, then steward it wisely rather than immediately labeling it as lust.
468 - Recognizing The Lies We Believe w/ Sam Jolman
Q: Sam, why is it important to engage our own story of sexual formation rather than just focusing on behaving differently?
Because understanding the deeper stories and the shame that shape our sexuality empowers us to address root causes, not just symptoms, leading to lasting freedom.
