I enjoyed the myths and history. However, the host has a habit of repeating herself and due to poor editing will sometimes seem to start a sentence while still speaking another.
I started at episode 1. Yes it has been a journey but each episode the sound is better. Anyone who listens to podcasts and goes back to the first episode knows this is normal. It’s a learning process. I’m so happy Heather stuck with it! I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the episodes! I’m on episode 9 now.
Poisoned Appalachia tells incredibly interesting and well researched stories. Each episode dives into important environmental and social issues in the region, and it’s clear the host puts a lot of care into the research and storytelling.
She’s still finding her voice a bit, and the delivery can feel a little unsure at times but it doesn’t take away from how compelling the content is. I’m definitely sticking with it and looking forward to seeing how the show continues to evolve.
You should read and learn the information better. It sounds like you are reading the information for the first time from Wikipedia. You also seem very unsure and struggle to read. The nervous laughter is distracting. I like the information, but cannot listen.
This could be a good podcast, but the constant background noise and uncertainty when relaying information is very distracting. Just a suggestion, but maybe reading through a few times before recording will help you become more comfortable relaying the information.
