  • Asked & Answered

Haviv asks questions like a ferret burrows into soft soil, his talent and practice nosing out his interviewee’s weaknesses and strengths, understanding what those following the discussion will need to follow him and make sense of the conversation. And he answers questions with more than mere knowledge, but also grace and poise.

Now that I’ve found his podcast, I never miss an episode.

(The recent Prof. Dan Schueftan show was particularly good.)

  • Chanukah and miracles and gratitude

Haviv, this shi’ur moved me deeply and has provided me with huge uplift, and grist to soldier on. Here in New Zealand, in a region without Jewish community, lighting candles alone, you have illuminated this chag for me. Deep gratitude…. A miracle has occurred here 🤩

  • Intelligent and compelling

This is one of the most important sources of sound information expounding the Jewish perspective and plight in the history and politics of the Middle East. Always challenging and enlightening bringing much needed balance and clarity to the discussion of all things related to Israel and it’s people as well as other current topics in the news. Excellent podcast!

Episode 81: Israel's future and the ticking Gaza clock, with Andrew Fox
Q: Why is returning to war in Gaza a terrible idea?
It's unlikely to achieve disarmament of Hamas and would lead to unnecessary devastation and international condemnation, complicating Israel's situation further.
Episode 81: Israel's future and the ticking Gaza clock, with Andrew Fox
Q: What do you mean the clock is running out? And what kind of dangers does Israel face?
Israel faces various geopolitical threats which are currently understated, but the constant pressure from time and international opinion is detrimental to its long-term security, particularly with relations with the US shifting.
