  • One sided journalism

Expounding theories as facts is not journalism, it’s propaganda. How about a balance in your environmental reporting?

  • Daily but Depressing

I am an English speaker who lives in the US, but my heart is in Israel. I am always thirsty for news and updates, but I find The Times to be difficult to swallow. Please, it’s a beautiful and wonderful country with amazing people and countless blessings. Please try to curb the snarky tones and side comments, we might not all agree with you but we are listening just the same.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

David Rosen: Israel doesn't adequately understand Christian relations
Q: What has changed since Vatican II in Jewish-Catholic relations?
The relationship has transformed dramatically, with the Catholic Church condemning anti-Semitism, recognizing Judaism as not inferior, and establishing diplomatic ties and mutual respect, though some tensions remain over political issues and specific actions.
David Rosen: Israel doesn't adequately understand Christian relations
Q: Why should Jews care about relations with Christians and why should Israel prioritize them?
Rosen argues that there are pragmatic reasons (massive Christian populations and their global influence) and moral reasons (religious freedom and dignity for minorities), making engagement with Christians both strategically important and ethically necessary.
ToI reports from new Lebanon 'forward defense area'
Q: What was that like for you going from the border into Lebanon and then back?
The trip was brief with newly built routes into Lebanon, designed to minimize time and improve access, and the operation emphasized a more permanent yet evolving presence in the area.
As US de-mines Strait of Hormuz, traffic status still murky
Q: Will we find out as weeks pass, assuming we do not go back to active war and strikes with the failed talks about different Iranian missile strikes and where they hit around the country?
There may be gradual releases of additional details by the military in future updates, but it's unclear how much information will be disclosed, given the balance between transparency and operational security during ongoing tensions.
As US de-mines Strait of Hormuz, traffic status still murky
Q: Right, a lot of strikes, yeah. Manny, question for you.
The discussion contemplated whether new Iranian missile strikes and related actions would be disclosed as time passes, and whether the military will release more information about potential strikes on military sites, while noting the civilian toll and ongoing caution in reporting.
