Alan and Dawn socially distance their coffee meeting to discuss the Langoliers, the first in the Four Past Midnight Collection. Music, as always remains the right of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Dawn and Alan enjoy virtual soft drinks whist Dawn tries very hard to make her brain work in this discussion about The Dark Half.
Want a podcast where the hosts use microphones from the Dollar Tree? Want a podcast hosted by two clones of Eliza Doolittle before Henry Higgins teaches her how to speak properly? This is for you! Between the awful static and tinny mics, the annoying cockney accents and the constant interruptions of “ummm” and “uhhh” it’s nigh impossible to make anything out. I turned the one episode I listed to off after 10 minutes out of sheer frustration. Complete rubbish
While there are several Stephen King podcasts out there, I am happy to have found Pennywise Dreadful. The discussions of King's books on this podcast are intelligent, analytical, and educational. I enjoy re-reading King novels along with Dawn and Alan. You will, too.
The conversations and musings on King's literature are insightful and useful. They also flow very well and the fluidity of the conversation certainly helps to keep the listener engaged.
A great listen and a real brain ticker.
