but I think this podcast would really benefit from some in real time and post-production editing. Love it, either way.
This podcast used to be really interesting, but the quality has steadily declined as its host, evidently, has come to embrace a more openly right-wing perspective. The most recent episode as of writing this review is a perfect example of where this has led: some basement dwelling loser with the political wisdom of a precocious fifteen year old decrying “the rule of mid-wits” and advocating for the replacement of the current American ruling class not with popular sovereignty, but a “new” and more... more

If there is some glimmer of hope for the internet or for the cybernetic society that we find ourselves intractably enmeshed in, that hope lies in the type of para-academic content that podcasts like Outsider Theory provide. This is seriously a great podcast. Geoff is one of the most knowledgeable, thoughtful and prepared podcast hosts I have come across. Among other things, this podcast offers an academic dissection of today’s subcultures/countercultures, and in doing so gives many modern issues rich philosophical context you probably won’t get elsewhere. It is especially enlightening for those like myself who aren’t very online or involved in the arts.
