What a lugubrious podcast! I’m interested in what these folks have to say. But learn to have a conversation, guys! Maybe, if you are a very fluent speaker, it’s ok to hold forth for more than three minutes at a time. But these guys are not fluent. They are much better writers than extemporaneous speakers. So do a bit of prep and ask each other good questions and keep your responses to a minute or less.
Arggghhhh, the heavy breathing sounds so creepy!
Over this is a thoughtful podcast which engages with the issues of the day in a calm intellectual way which I look forward to listening to each week. I particularly enjoy Mr. Schullenberger’s application of Girardian theory to current events and appreciate Ms. Frawley’s criticisms of the assisted dying movement in the broader context of the “nanny state”.
My one gripe is that whenever issue of Israel or Jeffery Epstein comes up the hosts neglect to go into the meat of the issue (IE Epstein’s n... more
If you are looking for intelligent, insightful, and bold commentary on current events, this will become your favorite podcast too! I can’t remember when I started listening but it was probably fall of 2023 or so. I’ve listened to just about every episode since then and really love the discussions. I learn a ton and while I don’t always agree with all the positions taken, I love the free-thinking spirit. We need more news coverage like this!

A sharp, policy- and culture-focused discussion panel examines current events through a dissident-right lens, often blending politics, economics, and media analysis. Episodes cover inflation and energy policy, geopolitics, technology's impact on society, and cultural debates, with frequent reference to public policy, rights, and institutions. Notable strengths include a clear, argumentative style, willingness to challenge conventional narratives, and a close tie to a magazine-backed perspective that informs guests and topics. Potential listeners who value rigorous, heterodox debate and cross-cutting analysis across economics, politics, and culture are likely to find it compelling.
A standout aspect is the trio's ability to fuse traditional... more
