  • Great Show!

TY for your Beinart episode. The give and take was refreshing. Think about having Rami Khouri on for his take on the Middle East. Sharp guy…and a Syracuse man!

  • Just brilliant

I find it hard to believe this podcast only has 4 stars and not 5. I found Coleman through Sam Harris, but to be honest I prefer Coleman these days. Great questions which are direct to the heart of the issues. Keep it up brother 👍

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Caitlin Flanagan: Why I Finally Left Los Angeles
Q: How do you see the balance between family, work, and dating in the modern age, and what should people consider when navigating politics in relationships?
Practical advice suggests delaying political discussions on dates to build genuine connection first, then addressing differences; long-term relationships require grounding in shared values beyond political alignment.
Caitlin Flanagan: Why I Finally Left Los Angeles
Q: What are the main factors driving your perspective on homelessness and the so‑called homelessness industrial complex?
There are structural incentives and funding flows that may not align with actual outcomes; NGOs and state money sometimes miss the mark, and there is merit to scrutinizing how grants are allocated and how programs are run.
Caitlin Flanagan: Why I Finally Left Los Angeles
Q: Can you give listeners context on how long you've lived in Los Angeles and what made you leave?
I moved there in my 20s, built a life around teaching and writing, loved the city's openness and art scene, but over time the political and social dynamics, including governance and safety concerns, contributed to my decision to leave after 35 years.
Douglas Murray: The Iranian Regime Means What It Says
Q: Why should the regime in Tehran be viewed with concern about nuclear ambitions?
He argues there are longstanding, well-documented signals and statements from Iranian leadership about using nuclear weapons as a tool of regional dominance, and he cites historical and contemporary evidence of intent and capability as reasons for vigilance.
Douglas Murray: The Iranian Regime Means What It Says
Q: Is the Iran deal a win or a partial setback?
Murray characterizes it as a partial success in delaying nuclear capabilities while warning that it does not curb Iran's funding of proxies and long-term strategic aims, leaving significant threats in place.
