I just wanted to say thank you so much for this!!! I just started listening to podcasts and came across yours, I've been a brand Geek my whole life so to have something like this, I'm totally in love. literally listening to every episode.
After listening to Jon and Marisa guest on P:TR and learning that Jon worked on Avatar and he sleeps in jeans (insane!) I knew I had to listen. I started from the beginning and it quickly became a new favourite show. I love Jon and Marisa’s friendship and learning new brand facts to tell my partner after every episode!
Found this amazing pod via The Doughboys. I’m so happy I did because Jon & Marisa crack me up non-stop. I love their friendship. Thanks for the pod!
Found this delightful podcast from listening to the Doughboys, and it’s making me question all the years listening to that slop when I could have been listening to On Brand! Their banter is hilarious, and the deep dives on the brands are so informative and interesting. Grateful to have so much back catalogue to listen to. My only hope for the show is that they add a third microphone just to pick up the claps when they come up with merch ideas, I need that clap to be resonating in my ears.
Since the early 2020s, you’ve been able to trust On Brand with all of your popular culture comedy needs. Whether it’s a snack cake, defunct craft store, or venerated international sporting event, Jon and Marisa have you covered.

Both hosts dives into iconic brands with a mix of rigorous brand history, clever trivia, and lighthearted personal anecdotes. Episodes span fast-food staples, classifieds platforms, apparel labels, toys, and more, all explored through detailed research, cultural context, and entertaining banter. Listeners often come for the deep-dive brand storytelling but stay for the hosts' chemistry, humor, and tangential riffs that make topics memorable rather than dry. A notable edge is how they connect brand histories to philanthropy, culture shifts, and design quirks, often with surprising tidbits and memorable moments that resonate beyond marketing circles.
