  • Compassionate and Validating

Navigating religious trauma, it’s impact, and recovering from it is not easy and it is sometimes difficult to find people who really understand what the experience is like. This podcast provides me with so much insight and perspective into others experiences as well as my own. While everyone’s experience is different many of the emotions and struggles discussed resonate with me, which helps me feel understood and often gives voice to feelings that I haven’t been able to articulate myself. • An outcast family

So many of us have left families, friends, and a community that we grew up in. We feel lost and misunderstood a majority of the time, but this podcast brings us together. We have a safe space to love and support each other. We have the opportunity to learn from one another and continue to grow. It is a beautiful community that Amber has given us to heal and love each other. I love this space where we can come together and focus on healing!

  • Refreshingly Real

Amber has only released two episodes on her podcast, but this has quickly turned into one of my favorite podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Whether you are the faithful or formerly faithful, this podcast is for everyone. There are so many stories she aims to highlight that are worth listening to and learning from. These are the types of stories that everyone needs to hear. Knowledge is power, and the more uncovering we do as a society, the healthier we can become. As an avid listener and fan, I am ... more

  • Thankful for this podcast

I am just truly grateful and thankful for this podcast. It helps me understand why people may leave the church and even religion as a whole. The stories are incredibly fascinating and it brings be to tears about how people have been affected by religious doctrine who don’t practice the truth. I can’t wait to hear more stories and more from the podcast. I wish I could give this 100 stars.
