  • Inspiring show with courageous creatives

I listen — and re-listen — to every episode of Tricia Rose Burt’s NO TIME TO BE TIMID. Since the very first one of season 1, I have gained courage and insight from her guests. The conversations are real, open and insightful. I listen first to learn, then to be reminded, and then again to integrate the creative lesson into my own practice. I’m a fan. No doubt. No question. Bring on season three!

  • One of my Favorites

I'm a very big fan of this podcast! I found it last spring because of the interview with Amy Grant. (I’m an ex-Nashvillian and long-time fan of Amy.) I thought it was a really wonderful interview—and I've heard TONS of interviews with Amy—and I proceeded to binge all the episodes throughout last summer, as I was working on my final thesis project in grad school, which is a deeply personal mini-memoir.

Both Tricia's story and this podcast were so inspirational to me that I wrote briefly about ... more

  • Motivational stories from all kinds of creatives

This podcast gives encouragement in a relatable way that is equal parts practical, humorous, and motivational. I love that a wide variety of creative people are interviewed: writers, artists, comedians, magicians, bookshop owners, etc. It reminds me that all of these accomplished people had to start somewhere, and i appreciate them being willing to be vulnerable as they share their insecurities and stumbling blocks, and how they work to overcome them. Basically, this is a podcast about being a ... more

  • Intentional Listener

I love hearing the unusual and original origin stories of artists and creators. Some origin stories start after dramatic change. Some out of discomfort. And some when grey hairs begin to appear. I'm here for it!
