I’m hooked on Don McDonald: the cadence of his voice, the use of vocabulary that’s teetering on the brink of extinction, and the twists of his stories. I read the review of another listener who didn’t appreciate the political references in one of his stories. I, too, don’t like political references in a short story podcast that I listen to on my commute to and from work. I haven’t listened to that story yet, so I’m giving Don 5 stars. I did not like the story on civic duty. It screams anti-Trump. It would’ve been much more appropriate during the Manchurian Biden term when people were being fired for not taking the government mandated vaccine or cancelled for depicting the American flag.
